I used to wear BCBG Girls, Davidoff Cool Waters, Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers, and scents like that. Is Sharlimar Guerlain to old for me or not right for summer?

As long as you smell nice you'll be OK. Aussie summers are usually suitable for antiperspirant-deodorant and not much else. Besides, you will need to re-apply every time you get out of the pool :)


Pick the one that doesn't smell like flowers, the killer bees LOVE flowers... OK, I made that last bit up.
I suggest that you stop thinking about perfume so obsessively. Just find one that you like and wear it. And when did you have have to be a certain age to wear certain perfumes?

Not sure if you mean the seal was opened, or it was never there in the first place. Look for the (genuine) same item for sale somewhere or detailed pictures online, and compare with yours. If the giver thought it was real and you find out it isn't, maybe s/he would want to know. Or maybe you would want to return it to the seller. But if that isn't possible, just be happy with it if it smells nice.





No, I only have some older Shalimar and other Guerlain perfumes and bottles, in my collection. I'd search online using the brand name, volume, type (EDP, EDT, spray, etc.), and anything else to describe it -- like is it a gift set or limited edition bottle... If nothing else, Ebay will have pictures of almost every perfume you can imagine but not all of the sellers are knowledgeable and reputable. ';Vaporisateur'; could mean it was packaged for sale in another country. Or not. You might find one like it on websites originating in other nations. The French 'ain' sound is not one English speakers are used to because it's a nasal sound, the same as in ';un';, not found in the English phonetic alphabet. I truly recommend that, if you want to pronounce it right, you ask a French native to pronounce it for you. Ive been a make up artist for almost 20 years so trust me on this....usually when you buy make uo yopur buying technology, packaging, and lots of crap that has nothing to do with making you look better you can sped 3 bucks for a certin shade of eyeshadow or 30 and pretty much get the same results. Bronzer is a litlle different, guerlaines formulation has just enough pigment in it to flatter any skin shade without looking orange or muddy. you can use it year round like blush or just in the summer for a tan look. I swear by it and keep it in the kit I carry everywhere....spend a few more bucks and get it, youll be happy you did and for the love of God stay out of the sun!Is Guerlain bronzer the best?

I use MAC's Golden bronzer and I love it. It isn't too strong of a color and isn't obnoxiously shimmery like many are. I've never used Guerlain, but I've tried many and havent found one I like better then macs
I was not thrilled with Guerlain, for the price it was only OK. The best bronzers I have tried were from Smashbox cosmetics. They are amazing.

yes I do. I use it present day. the guerlain terracotta kohl liner is one of what I've collected because of the beautiful package. all of guerlain products have got so feminine package and they're a bit pricey but deserve every penny. it provide a long wearing, beautiful color and easy to use. the package is also the top of my fave.
Na, I don't like it. Its too fancy and it probably messy when you put it on at first. It would wear it if I was going to a dinner party or a fancy party but not every day.

Maybe Nars but I'm not sure. The main ingredient in the Guerlain is talc and talc is known to be bad for your skin. It can cause irritation and dryness. I couldn't find the ingredients for the Nars Bronzing Powder but if it has talc as a main ingredient then you would want to avoid it as well. A lot of mineral makeup is talc free like physicians formula and bare escentuals but I'm not sure what they have in the line of bronzers. Hope this helped!

I live in France and here, Guerlain is one of the classiest brands. Rather expensive and always excellent quality. It really has more to do with HOW you apply it than the actual mascara itself. I recommend Dior Show, Benefit ';Get Bent';, or Yves Saint Laurent ';faux cils';.





First, separate your lashes with a lash comb and then put a eyelash primer on your lashes. Wait until the primer dries. After it dries, slowly moving your hand back and forth horizontally (almost like your brushing your teeth), apply mascara to your top eyelashes. Apply until you have the desired thickness. Then apply mascara to your bottom lashes. Before your mascara dries and sets, curl and separate your lashes one more time.

It's an old fashioned, violet scent in the tradition of Apres L'Ondee. After wearing it all day, I decided it smells just like Molinard Violetta. The Molinard is a touch sweet by comparison; but the match is so close that I wouldn't buy an $89- bottle. Besides, I've seen it going dirt cheap on eBay.

Try using it along both sides of your nose not the bridge. If you use it on the bridge it will make your nose seem flatter not longer.

My husband and I smelled the eau de toilette at Macy's and I loved it. He didn't. Unfortunately I haven't smelled the Extreme version to know which one lasts longer. However, being a fan of designer perfumes and a user of Guerlain perfumes I can assure that all of them last all day. That's to be expected of any designer perfume. Their lovely sent always stay with you all day (unlike cheap perfume).
